Avon 4, Canterbury 3

         Mike Warner scored two goals today including a game-winning breakaway in
the third period, and Tim Warner made 17 saves in net as Avon had to
struggle to get by Canterbury today 4-3.  After an even first period, Avon
came out strong in the second, taking the lead twice.  Canterbury kept
battling and with 25 seconds left, Mike Carrano buried a power-play goal
off a nice feed in front by Willie Bressete to tie the score once again.
Canterbury's chance at an upset was spoiled at 5:50 of the third period,
when Mike Warner picked off an errant pass in the neutral zone, and
steamed in on Brad Roberts to score shorthanded.  Roberts made 37 saves on
the day to keep Canterbury in the game.
