| Rank | Record | The Skinny | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Salisbury | 18-3-2 |
(2) GPG/GAA: 4.50/2.21 -- A busy stretch for the Crimson Knights, with four games over the next six games. And they're rolling, with a 10-1-1 mark over the last 12.
LAST 3: Beat L'ville, Taft, Loomis. UPCOMING: @ Brunswick (Wed.), vs. T-P (Thurs.), vs. Avon (Sat.)
|
| 2 | Dexter | 16-1-3 |
(3) GPG/GAA: 5.17/1.99 -- Haven't lost a NEPSIHA game since the Exeter Tournament Dec. 6th, a 3-2 decision to Kent. Much credit goes to senior Myles Brosnan, the best d-man in prep hockey. Brosnan leads all Dexter scorers in points, as well as all prep defensmen. LAST 3: Beat Pomfret, tied Andover, beat P-Abbey. UPCOMING: vs. SPS (Wed.), @ Winchendon (Fri.), vs. Kents Hill (Sat.)
|
| 3 | St. Mark's | 20-3-0 |
(5) GPG/GAA: 6.96/1.91 --All three losses have come to JSPR teams (Tabor, Bel Hill, and Dexter). But they have also beaten three JSPR teams (Winchendon, Canterbury, and Cushing). Call it a draw. The Lions boast three forwards with a 2.00 or better ppg: Caiden Pellegrino, Will Manchuso, and Evan Nee. And their goalies -- sophomores Aaron Alves-Thomas and Julian Herrara -- have stood tall. LAST 3: Beat Brooks, Cushing, and Middlesex. UPCOMING: @ Rivers (Wed.), @ LA (Sat.)
|
| 4 | Kimball Union | 22-5-1 |
(6) GPG/GAA: 4.63/1.90 -- KUA shoots a lot, routinely putting 30 or more shots on goal. Frequently, it's 40 or more, and once in awhile 50+. Four of the five Wildcat losses this season have featured outstanding performances by opposing goaltenders (from Hotchkiss, Andover, Tilton, and Deerfield), each of whom held the Wildcats to one goal. LAST 3: Beat Andover, New Hampton, and Holderness. UPCOMING: vs. Proctor (Wed.), vs. Cushing (Sat.)
|
| 5 | Avon Old Farms | 14-5-1 |
(1) GPG/GAA: 3.60/1.91 -- The Winged Beavers losing four in a row is unusual, to say the least. During the skid, they've allowed an uncharacteristic average of 4 GPG. Meanwhile, the dog days of winter are giving way to the stretch run. LAST 3: Lost to Westy, Gunn, and Deerfield. UPCOMING: @ Choate (Wed.), @ Salisbury (Sat.), vs. Pomfret (Mon.)
|
| 6 | Hotchkiss | 13-4-3 |
(9) GPG/GAA: 3.25/1.78 -- 8-1-1 over their last 10 games. Junior G Neilan Johnson (1.59/.946) has not allowed more than three goals in any one game this season -- and he has three shutouts. LAST 3: Beat Westy, lost to Taft (OT), beat Berkshire. UPCOMING: @ Kent (Wed.), vs. T-P (Sat.), @ Salisbury (Sat.)
|
| 7 | Tabor | 16-5-0 |
(4) GPG/GAA: 3.48/1.81 -- Similar to Hotchkiss in that they don't score much, but have a standout goalie: Junior Vinnie D'Urso (1.74/.945) has four shutouts, and gives the Seawolves a chance every day. LAST 3: Beat Nobles, Milton, @ Gov's. UPCOMING: @ Seb's (Wed.), vs. St. G (Fri.), @ Thayer (Sat.)
|
| 8 | St. Sebastian's | 15-7-0 |
(N/R) GPG/GAA: 3.32/1.91 -- The Arrows started the season with three losses in four games. Since then, they've gone 15-4-0. Interesting factoid: the squad's top five scorers feature two freshmen and two sophs. So the cupboard is full. LAST 3: Lost to Cushing, beat Bel Hill and LA. UPCOMING: vs. Tabor (Wed.), @ Gov's (Sat.)
|
| 9 | Holderness | 15-5-1 |
(8) GPG/GAA: 4.38/2.23 -- Had a hard time with New Hampton (back-to-back losses), but have gone 3-1-1 over last five. The loss was a 3-0 decision to KUA Saturday. Have a tough stretch to finish the season, with four JSPR teams on tap: Winchendon, SPS, Dexter, and almost certainly KUA (in the Lakes Region Tournament). LAST 3: Beat KUA, tied Tilton, lost to KUA. UPCOMING: vs. Winchendon (Wed.), vs. VA (Fri.), @ SPS (Sat.)
|
| 10 | Cushing | 15-10-1 |
(N/R) GPG/GAA: 3.62/2.62 -- The Penguins were a game under .500 as recently as Jan. 24th (8-9-1). But they've gone on a tear, winning seven of eight since. The only loss was to St. Mark's in OT. The young goalies -- freshman Mason Raycroft and soph Harper Hubbard -- are playing with increasing confidence. LAST 3: Beat Brunswick, lost to St. Mark's (OT), beat Canterbury. UPCOMING: @ Andover (Wed.), @ KUA (Sat.)
