The Plot Thickens
 
Amid the final week of the ‘23-24 prep hockey season, we’re working behind the scenes, crunching the numbers, and seeing what possibilities exist for those teams still in contention for an Elite 8 berth.

Before the games of this past weekend we weren’t expecting much in the way of movement in the Elite 8. In other words, the projected Elite 8 seemed to be the most likely outcome. That all changed, however, when Nobles lost at Belmont Hill on Friday. That loss allowed St. Seb’s to sneak in the back door and snag a spot in the current Elite 8 standings. Furthermore, Nobles’ loss could be Dexter’s Elite 8 gain, and Holderness, previously thought to be unassailable, could drop out of the Elite 8 entirely.
