New England Prep Hockey Rankings

Rank Record The Skinny
1 ...10-2-0 GPG ...
2 ...13-2-0 GPG ...
7 Salisbury x-x-xGPG/GAA: 3.24/2.15 – Having gotten off to a 4-4-0 start, coach Will’s squad has been playing inspired hockey over the last three weeks, going 5-0-1 with wins over fellow Elite 8 contenders Cushing and Deerfield. The knock on Salisbury this season has been a lack of scoring. But that’s changed lately, with a 4.71 GPG pace since the break vs. a 2.2 GPG before. Seniors Connor Davis (10g, 15a, 1.47 ppg), a Northeastern commit, and Ryan Hedley (12g, 12a, 1.41 ppg) lead the Salisbury attack. Splitting time in net, junior Jordan Rittenberg (1.83 GAA) and senior Steven Luciano (2.15GAA) have been getting the job done. NEXT: Sat. Jan 25 vs. Kent.
8 Noble & Greenough x-x-x
9 Holderness x-x-xGPG/GAA: 6.00/1.72 -– Holderness, 8-1-1 over its last ten games, sports the highest GPG and lowest GAA of any team in this poll. While their gaudy stats are due in part to a weak schedule, make no mistake, the Bulls are a formidable team. Are they an Elite 8 team? We’ll find out after they play Dexter and KUA (twice, or thrice if they meet in the Lakes Region playoffs). PG forward Connor Dozois (12g, 11a, 1.64 ppg) and senior d-man Jeremy Poirier (5g, 17a, 1.17 ppg) lead the attack. NEXT: Fri. Jan 24 at Governor’s.
10 St. George's x-x-xGPG/GAA: 4.31/3.03 – St. George’s currently finds itself on the Elite 8 bubble, due in part to a lack of wins over fellow Elite 8 contenders (just that win at Andover). Coach Allie Skelley’s charges have crucial games remaining against Dexter and Eberhart rival St. Mark’s (twice). Win some or all of those and they’ll likely book one of the final spots. NEXT: Sat. Jan 25 vs. St. Mark’s.
* Note: Only games between NEPSIHA Div. I schools -- the principal factor in determining seedings for the playoffs -- are included in the won-lost records above.
