Holderness 7 @ St. Paul's 4 -- Holderness (8-1-1) scored three times in the game's first four minutes, peppered Big Red netminder Blake Truchon with 45 shots and, in the end, extended its unbeaten streak to six games, dating back a month and a day. Bulls' senior Arsene Beauregard led the way with two goals and a helper, while four of his teammates turned in two-point performances. Truchon (38/45) took the loss in net for St. Paul's (5-9-1), while junior Mark Bierwirth (27/31) picked up the win for Holderness.
@ Proctor 3, New Hampton 2 -- In a game that saw all five goals scored in a nine-minute span in the second period, Proctor (6-9-0) got back-to-back goals from senior Beckett Homlish and sophomore Dylan Jordan late in the frame. The latter held up as the game-winner. Between the pipes, Hornets' junior Brodie Farren (34/36) shined in the win. Huskies' junior Sam Zygulski (28/31) played well despite the loss.
@ Pomfret 5, Winchendon 2 -- Pomfret (8-5-2) used second-period goals from seniors Cole Leblanc and Matthew Itzkovitz to break open a 1-1 tie and avenge its earlier loss to Winchenon (6-8-1). Griffins' junior Ian Sherman added a goal and an assist to boot. Sophomore G Cesar Della Santina (33/35) earned the win. Wapitis' junior Brady Knode (22/26) got the loss.
@ Taft 2, Westminster 1 -- After the Martlets (3-6-0) and Rhinos (5-4-1) traded goals in the final minutes of the first period, there was no further scoring until Taft junior d-man Brady Smith potted the game-winner with 54 seconds left in regulation. Both goalies were fantastic, but Taft's Brady Morris (34/35) ever so slightly outdueled Westy's Jack Fitchthorn (35/37). The Martlets have lost three in a row and six of their last eight.
Frederick Gunn 9 @ Albany Academy 3 -- Gunn (8-3-2), perhaps a bit slow out of the gate after a two-hour bus ride north, fell behind 2-0 early, but found its legs, pounding out four goals in a five-minute span to take the lead for good. Highlanders' senior Matthew Nacinovich notched a hat trick, doubling his season's total in a single afternoon. Senior Braden O'Neill (4a) and junior Ryan Tartaglione (3a) combined for seven helpers, while senior Logan Heideman (23/26) got the win in net.
NYA 3 @ Pingree 0 -- NYA senior Vincent Ouellet turned in a 28-save shutout, and the Panthers (7-10-1) got the only goal they needed from senior Adrian Mendoza with one second left in the second period. In the third, Mendoza scored a pair of ENGs, less than a minute apart, to secure his second hat trick of the season. Junior goalie Von Larson (19/20) took the hard-luck loss for Pingree (5-6-1).
@ Salisbury 3, Cushing 1 -- Salisbury, hard-pressed for scoring of late, got the game-winner from senior Ryan Hedley with 13 seconds left in the game to back senior goalie Steven Luciano's 23/24 performance (Hedley added an ENG four seconds later). Earlier, in the first, Cushing had taken a 1-0 lead on junior Parker Murch's unassisted goal, then the Knights (7-4-2) tied it up on senior Oliver Morris's PPG in the final minute of the period. Junior Maksim Corovic (28/30) took the loss for the Penguins (9-4-1).
@ Deerfield 5, Loomis Chaffee 2 -- Deerfield seniors Justin Tavares and Zachary Chehade scored two goals apiece to help the Big Green (7-3-0) to their first win of the new year. Loomis (4-6-1) -- which lost on the road at Deerfield for the sixth straight season -- got both of its goals from senior Luke Collins. Pelicans' senior Liam Joyce (31/35) got the loss in net, while Deerfield junior Elliot Lennon (20/22) picked up the win.
Portsmouth Abbey 5, Middlesex 2 -- Consecutive second-period goals from sophomore Connor Nolan lifted the Abbey (6-8-0) to its third win in the last four tries. Nolan added two helpers for a four-point day, while senior teammate Noah Jimbo (1g,2a) had three of his own. Middlesex senior Caio Bernardini (35/40) played the lion's share of the loss in goal. Ravens' sophomore Easton Theberge (30/32) picked up the win.
Worcester Academy 4, Williston Northampton 2 -- A frustrating offensive stretch continued for Williston (4-9-1), which outshot Worcester 49-22, but only got two past WA post-grad Mark Quinn (47/49). The Hilltoppers were led by sophomore Kellen Kissane's hat trick (including an ENG). Senior goalie Zack Tremblay (19/22) took the loss for the Wildcats, who've averaged only two goals a game across their current four-game skid.
Tabor 6 @ Milton 1 -- Five Seawolves — paced by senior Adam Quinn's three-point effort — tallied multi-point games as Tabor (7-4-1) cruised past Milton (5-9-0) to extend its unbeaten streak to five games. In net, sophomore Vinnie D'Urso (30/31) stood out in the win.
@ Kimball Union 5, Vermont Academy 1 -- KUA (12-2-0) was led by sophomore Rowen Sang (2g,1a) and senior Nick Evans (1g,1a), and snapped a three-game winless stretch (1-1-1 in NEPSIHA play; 0-2-1 overall). In net, sophomore Luca Campo (21/22) earned the win. Junior Jake Hedman (47/52) took the loss in net for VA (5-11-0).
@ Groton 6, Hebron 1 -- Groton senior Cam Cirone's third-period natural hat trick highlighted the Zebras' (7-5-0) third straight win. Classmate Angus Miller assisted each of Cirone's goals. Groton put 57 shots on goal, and Hebron senior Evan Miller did well to stop 51 of them. Groton sophomore Alex Wang (22/23) picked up the win.
Kent 7 @ Trinity-Pawling 4 -- Kent senior Luke Dow (2g,1a) and junior Aiden Grinshpun (1g,2a) tallied three points apiece as the Lions (8-4-1) earned a second straight win for the first time in more than a month. Kent goalie Jacoby Weiner, a Harvard commit, stopped 32 of T-P's 36 shots.
Canterbury 4 @ Choate 3 -- Canterbury, trailing 3-1 two minutes into the second, stormed back with three unanswered goals and snatched victory on junior Parker Farnham's game-winner with less than five minutes to go. The win gave the Saints (7-6-1) their fourth straight win. After a shaky start, Saints' junior G Cody Hew (24/27) battened down the hatches. Wild Boars' junior Jacob Saldanha (23/27) took the loss.
@ St. Mark's 6, Roxbury Latin 3 -- Roxbury Latin (6-4-1) led 2-1 at the first intermission, then St. Mark's (9-1-2) scored four consecutive goals in the second and turned the game on its head. Six different Lions made a multi-point contribution and senior G Justin BriseBois (27/30) earned the win in net. The win helps St. Mark's keep pace in the Elite 8 picture. For the time, SMS holds a narrow lead over Andover for the final spot.
@ Kents Hill 7, Brewster 2 -- Kents Hill senior Ben Chapdelaine notched a hat trick and classmate Anthony Dimopoulos added three helpers as the Huskies (7-5-2) handed Brewster its 10th loss in 10 games. Senior Aidan Anderson (18/20) picked up the win in net.
@ Andover 4, Tilton 3 (OT) -- After entering the third period tied 2-2, junior David O'Neill put Andover (8-3-2) up 3-2 early, only to see Tilton (9-3-1) PG defenseman Mason Scanlon tie the game -- on his first goal of the season -- with 1:41 left in regulation. In OT, Andover wasted little time, as senior defenseman Chas Sabre scored the GWG just 46 seconds in. For Andover, senior Rui Han, a Yale commit, had a three-point day (1g,2a). Senior Grayden Robertson-Palmer, a Dartmouth commit, and sophomore Alex Theodore had had two assists. The win allowed Andover to snap back after a pair of one-goal losses to St. George's and Choate. Tilton, having lost at Milton Saturday, has dropped consecutive games for the first time this season.
@ Governor's 5, Exeter 2 -- Senior Eli Heinze (2g,2a), and sophomores Spencer Thornborough (1g,2a) and Robbie Daley (1g,2a) led the Gov's (7-4-1) scorers. Senior goaltender Zach Ericson (21/23) picked up the win. Exeter, which has now dropped two straight road games, both by 5-2 scores, is 6-7-1.
@ Noble & Greenough 6, Lawrence Academy 3 -- After Nobles took a 3-0 lead early in the second period, LA senior defenseman Aiden MacIsaac popped in two goals -- his second and third of the season -- to cut Nobles' lead to 3-2. In the third, Nobles took control, scoring three times to put the game out of reach. The Bulldogs scorers were led by junior Billy MacAusland (2g,2a), and seniors Ted MacAusland (1g,2a) and Kyle O'Leary (1g, 2a). Sophomore goaltender Tucker Monroe (32/35) earned the win; LA senior Kolin Belliveau took the loss. Nobles (7-4-1) has won three of four; LA (2-8-1) has lost three straight. MacIsaac (2g, 1a) figured in all three Lawrence goals.
@ Belmont Hill 3, Thayer 3 (OT) -- Early in the third period, Belmont Hill senior d-man Evan Jones, a Dartmouth commit, converted a juicy rebound to lift the home team to a 3-3 tie. Bel Hill outshot Thayer, 45-29, but Thayer junior goaltender Tyler Moschella was excellent, kicking out 42 shots. His counterpart, Sextants' senior Keegin Wilson, kicked out 26. In addition to Jones, Bel Hill got goals from senior defenseman Grayson Cohen and junior forward Jake Tavares (also a Dartmouth commit). Sophomore David Bosco had a pair of helpers. Thayer was led by sophomore Tommy Wilkinson's two goals, both of which were assisted by senior Tommy Anderson. Senior Charlie Wilkinson also notched a goal. Thayer (10-4-1) is 4-0-1 in its last five. Belmont Hill (8-2-2), over its last 12, is undefeated at 9-0-3 (7-0-2 in NEPSIHA play).
St. George's 3 @ Brooks 2 (OT) -- After Brooks' junior forward Nick Dias, with the goalie pulled and the extra attacker on, scored with 1:18 left in regulation to send the game to OT, St. George's junior Ryan Magaletta's goal at 2:38 lifted the Dragons to the road win. St. George's scoring was led by Magaletta, junior Owen Draddy, and senior Danny Buckley, each of whom contributed a goal and an assist. Brooks' Dias and senior Griffin Bucci each had two-point afternoons, contributing a goal and an assist apiece. Dragons' junior goaltender Dash George (44/46) earned the win. Brooks sophomore Lachlan Fletcher (37/40) took the hard-luck loss. St. George's improves to 9-4-1; Brooks falls to 4-5-2.
Avon Old Farms @ Hotchkiss -- A flu outbreak at Hotchkiss forced a postponement. The game will be made up on Friday, February 14th at 6:00 pm.

Fahey's goals were separated by just 13 seconds. Between the pipes, junior Matt Wood (31/32) was excellent. NHS junior Sam Zygulski (26/29) took the loss.
Loomis Chaffee 4 @ Avon Old Farms 3 -- In the first game between Loomis and Avon since Dartmouth commit Indiana Grossbard left the Pelicans for the Winged Beavers, LC pulled off the upset against #1 AOF. Senior Gennaro Pompano scored twice for the victors and senior goalie Luke Quinn (37/40) earned the win in net. Grossbard did score against his former mates, on the PP with five minutes left, but it was too late. Loomis (5-9-1) had entered the game on a four-game slide. Avon (11-3-0) had won eight straight.
@ Groton 5, BB&N 1 -- After the Zebras and Knights entered the third period in a 1-1 deadlock, Groton (11-6-0) exploded for four third-period goals -- including a shorty and an ENG -- to top BB&N (3-14-0). The Saints are unbeaten over their last nine games, going 6-0-3.
Dexter 9 @ St. George's 1 -- #10 St. George's (11-6-1) entered the day hoping to re-enter the Elite 8 picture. Instead, #2 Dexter -- powered by BU commit Rian Chudzinski's hat trick and a 20/21 effort from junior goalie Colin Davis -- delivered what could be the knockout blow to those hopes. Seven Dexter skaters tallied multiple points, while the Dragons didn't score until junior Ryan Magaletta found the back of the net with six minutes left. Since Dexter (15-2-0) lost to Cushing on Jan. 5, they have rattled off seven straight wins.
@ Thayer 4, Tabor 1 -- Tabor (9-7-1) got on the board early, on a first-period goal from sophomore Ethan Travis, but Thayer scored the next four, the last an empty-netter, to improve to 11-6-1. Seniors Mason Shea (2g) and Tommy Anderson (1g,1a), the Tigers' top scorers, each chipped in with two points. In net, junior Tyler Moscella (17/18) earned the win; Tabor soph Vinnie D'Urso (23/26) took the loss.

Kent, which today saw its Harvard-bound goalie Jacoby Weiner stop 19 of 23 shots, has had a seesaw 9-7-1 season.
Salisbury 4 @ Frederick Gunn 2 -- Salisbury senior Oliver Morris broke a 2-2 tie with a PPG nearly five minutes into the third, and his goal stood up as the game-winner for the Crimson Knights. Senior teammate Connor Davis added an ENG in the final minutes. In the blue paint, junior Jordan Rittenberg (27/29) picked up the win. Gunn senior Alfie Blakeley (39/42) saw plenty of rubber in the loss. #7 Salisbury (11-4-3) hasn't lost since Jan. 3rd, ten games ago.

Classmate Gauvin Ludovik notched three assists. Senior goalie Ondrej Matousek (30/33) earned the win. Trinity-Pawling has clawed back to .500 at 7-7-1. Save for the shortened COVID year, T-P hasn't finished with a winning record since 2017-18.
@ Holderness 8, Brewster 1 -- After a scoreless first, # 9 Holderness (12-3-1) came out of the first intermission with a vegeance. He's in a tie with Nobles' junior Billy MacAusland at the top of the prep leaderboard. Rivers is 10-5-1. RL is 8-7-1.,
@ Governor's 2, Lawrence 1 -- Two second-period goals, from senior Ian Crowley (a PPG) and sophomore Robbie Daley, proved enough to help Gov's (10-6-2) eke past LA (5-9-1). This was a goaltender's battle: Governor's senior Zach Ericson (29/30) outdueled his Lawrence counterpart Kolin Belliveau (24/26). The Spartans did score, but sophomore Matas Janulis's PPG in the third was too little, too late. Lawrence had its three-game win streak snapped.
@ Kimball Union 5, Exeter 0 -- KUA senior Blake McMeniman -- the favorite for prep hockey's Goaltender of the Year? -- bolstered his case with a 21-save shutout, and the #4 Wildcats (16-4-2) blanked Exeter (8-10-1). Avon Sits Atop USHR Prep Poll
Our much-delayed poll is here (at last), and Avon Old Farms holds down the #1 spot after a spate of upsets on Wednesday. We expect a lot of movement ahead, as there is a strong group -- Belmont Hill, Cushing, Berkshire and Andover that could claim a spot in this week's, but fell short. Look for some good tilts as the battle to move up gets tighter as the clock ticks toward the first week of March.
